Putnam County Florida

REPUBLICANS

What is the Republican Executive Committee (REC)?

The MISSION of the REC is to increase Republican registration in Putnam County and to promote an informed electorate through political education.

We also work to foster loyalty to the Republican Party and increase public awareness of the Putnam Republican Executive Committee and Republican clubs.

Most importantly, we seek qualified candidates who support the Republican philosophy and goals.  We work hard to ensure voters have enough information to make wise choices in the primaries.

We promote the election of all Republican candidates in the General Election.

I Believe… The proper function of government is to do for the people those things that have to be done but cannot be done, or cannot be done as well, by individuals, and that the most effective government is government closest to the people.

I Believe… Good government is based upon the individual and that each person’s ability, dignity, freedom, and responsibility must be honored and recognized.

I Believe… The free enterprise and the encouragement of individual initiative and incentive have given this nation an economic system second to none.

I Believe… Sound money management should be our goal.

I Believe… In equal rights, equal justice and equal opportunity for all, regardless of race, creed, age, sex or national origin.

I Believe… We must retain those principles of the past worth retaining, yet always be receptive to new ideas with an outlook broad enough to accommodate thoughtful change and varying points of view.

I Believe… That Americans value, and should preserve their feeling of national strength and pride, and at the same time share with people everywhere a desire for peace, freedom and the extension of human rights throughout the world.

I Believe… The Republican Party is the best vehicle for translating these ideals into positive and successful principles of government.

Meet your REC Officers: (need better pics!)

We mourn the passing of our Vice Chair, Mike Cribby on November 15.  A memorial get together was held at the REC HQ on November 25.  He will be greatly missed!

Elections for officers of Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer and Secretary will be held December 15.  If you are interested in running for any of these offices, please contact _____.

Putnam has two Republican CLUBS:

  • Putnam Republican Club (RC)
  • Teen Age Republicans (TARS)

PUTNAM REPUBLICAN CLUB:  The objectives of the club are to provide a forum for Republicans to educate voters about issues affecting our county and develop ways members can contribute.  A priority we have is to support and elect all duly nominated Republican candidates in the General Election.

The Club meets at 6 pm every second Tuesday of each month at St. Johns River State College, , Palatka, FL.  Visit our website  or go to our Facebook page to find out more about the club and the events they have planned.  NEED LOGO

We encourage the formation of more clubs in the County to reduce travel time to meetings/events and promote Republican activities throughout the County.

TEEN AGE REPUBLICANSWhat makes us different from Democrats or other parties?  We believe:

  • Individual ability, dignity, freedom & responsibility are basic to good government.
  • Free enterprise and encouraging individual initiative and incentive produce a strong economy.
  • Equal rights, justice and opportunity belong to all.
  • The preservation of our nation and security of our citizens depend on every citizen’s respect for the Constitution, the law and the courts.
  • Government exists to protect the freedom of the individual, not restrict it.
  • Government should only get involved in the things which people can’t do well themselves.
  • Both government and society should assist people who can’t provide for themselves.  It should help them become self-supporting, productive citizens who pride independence.
  • No man has the right to live off the fruits of another man’s labor.
  • Government must maintain sound money and a responsible economy.  The rights of life and liberty are meaningless if citizens are deprived through excessive taxation, inflation and government waste.
  • World peace and friendship will continue through strength.

I asked Putnam TARS Advisor Leon Edenfield what he’d like to say here and if he’d like a page on our website.

REC MEETINGS are held at 7pm the third Thursday of every month. Meeting place is currently at Republican HQ located at 320 State Road 19.

Meeting minutes are available below to view and download.  The next meeting agenda will be posted in the NEWS section of this website.

If you would like to speak at the next REC meeting please contact Paul Adamczyk by the Monday before the meeting.
