REPUBLICANS

Resources to Help You Decide Who Gets Your Vote.

This website provides information about each Republican candidate and elected office holder and lets you decide from that information whether the candidate/office holder is the right choice to represent you.

It is not the only website designed to provide you with neutral information about those on the ballot.  We’ve described others below.

However, there are many organizations trying to hold candidates and incumbents accountable for their actions and compare them to their campaign promises and/or the Republican Party Platform.  Each of these organizations have their own position statements they use to “grade” the political actions of those running for or in office.  We have described some of these organizations below.

This is not an exhaustive list, and we’d be happy to add to it–just send the Web Administrator a link to your favorite organization with a brief description.

We don’t need a third party. We need to return the Republican Party to its pro-Constitution roots.
  • National Republican Congressional Committee   The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) is a political committee devoted to increasing the number of Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives.
  • Republican Liberty Caucus  We believe every human being is endowed by nature with inherent rights to life, liberty and property that are properly secured by law. We support a strict construction of the Bill of Rights as a defense against tyranny; the expansion of those rights to all voluntary consensual conduct under the Ninth and Tenth Amendments; and the requirements of equal protection and due process under the Fourteenth Amendment.  We support the Constitutional restrictions on federal government powers enumerated in Article I, Section 8 as an absolute limit on all government functions and programs. We oppose the adoption of broad and vague powers under the guise of general welfare or interstate commerce.

  • Alachua Chronicle At Alachua Chronicle, we do our best to stick to facts and report what happened. We do not intend “gotcha” stories or hit pieces, but when politicians stray from the facts or hide the truth, calling them out can seem like a personal attack. It’s not. We also do our best to distinguish between our reporting, a press release, and an opinion piece.
